-General

  • If possible, build a Factory or a Bunker behind enemy lines to create units that will demolish an enemies base from the inside out
  • The Science Vessel's Irradiate comes in handy against groups of biological units

  • Group one or two Medics for every group of twelve Marines/Firebats/Ghosts to give your units a longer lifespan

-Against Zerg

  • Create Firebats to counter against the majority of the Zerg ground units

  • Use Battlecruisers mainly for defense due to the fact that Scourges can destroy a Battlecruiser for half the cost

  • Put Parasite infected units in the front lines so the enemy cannot gain any useful information out of the sight

  • Use a Medic's Restoration to remove Plague or Parasites from units which are costly (ex. Battlecruisers, Wraiths)

  • Never leave a Command Center out in the open for Zerg attacks, If it is infested you will have a big problem on your hands

  • When attacking go for the structures that are needed for evolution (ex. Evolution Chamber, Spawning Pool, Hydralisk Den, Spire)

  • Valkyries are effective when eliminating Overlords due to the Valkyries dominate speed

  • Destroy Guardians as soon as they enter your site range, if they are not destroyed they can do serious damage to a base

-Against Protoss

  • Firebats do well when against Zealots, yet they do little when against other Protoss units

  • Use Ghosts on defensive sides for when a carrier comes; Lockdown immobilizes it so it becomes vulnerable to attacks

  • EMP Shockwave is useful because it removes the shields on the Protoss units or buildings

  • Remove Arbiters from play quickly to reveal units that may be hidden with the cloaking field

  • Use the Comsat Station's Scanner Sweep to reveal cloaked observers where you plan to send cloaked units

  • Maintain Missile Turrets throughout your base, so no shuttles are able to drop units within the base

  • Fully upgraded Goliaths can take on a group of Scouts effectively; keep some Goliaths around for air defense
