-General

  • When enemy air approach use a Defilers Dark Swarm around your Hydralisks rendering them impervious to the enemy air attacks

  • Initially build Zerglings and Hydralisks but remember that they are at the disadvantage against Zealots and Firebats

  • Guardians are a strong attacking force as long as they keep their distance from the target and are able to retreat if need be

  • Use Nydus Canals to connect bases because units would instantly be transported to another base to attack or defend

  • Scourges are very effective against Carriers or Battlecruisers

  • Build a perimeter of Sunken and Spore colonies around your base to keep up the defense

  • When attacking an enemy base with Zerglings attack structures rather than units

  • Strategically place Lurkers around bases to create a strong defensive line

-Against Terran

  • Use the Queen's Ensnare on a group of cloaked Wraiths to slow them down then infect them with Parasites to eliminate their cloaking ability

  • Hydralisks are helpful units because they attack ground and air on a fairly strong level

  • Use Spawn Broodling on units such as Goliaths and Tanks to take out those units and create two temporary units for your forces

  • Use Plague on Supply Depots in which are located within close proximity of each other

  • Place Hydralisks and Zerglings in strategic burrowed places to protect from heavy enemy attacks

  • Devourers have a splash damage that renders Terran air units more vulnerable to attacks and reduces their ability to attack

  • Lurkers are helpful for attacking large groups of units entering an area, but be weary of detectors which reveal the burrowed Lurkers

-Against Protoss

  • Early in the game build Hydralisks for they are affective against most early Protoss Units

  • Keep on the lookout for Protoss Observers; use Overlords to patrol around to reveal these cloaked Observers

  • Destroy Pylons to render buildings powerless and therefore useless

  • Build defensive structures throughout the base; Zealots make quick work of unprotected Sunken Colonies

  • Scourges are a good counterattack against Carriers; a group of twelve spaced apart (due to explosion) have the possibility to destroy a Carrier quickly

  • Ensnare Arbiters to slow them and any units that may be hidden within the cloaking field
